During the 2016 Olympics we had the honor of helping concept and craft boxes mailed to influencers such as Michelle Obama to help promote the Equestrain Olympics.
At the time the equestrian sport was at risk of being cut from the Olympic games. The Ogilvy Experiential team stepped up and asked us to partner with them to concept and craft luxurious, hand crafted boxes to hold unique keychain made of horse tail hair. These boxes were then sent out to 50 influencers during the 2016 Summer Olympics to raise awareness.
To see more about how we made these boxes, check out our blog post about the process!
OVERSIZED SCREEN PRINT & FRAME BUILD
This project was a long time in the making. Proposed over two years ago, my client/friend requested a screen print of James Dean’s last photo of himself alive. This iconic image was optimized for the larger size, and converted to halftone for screen printing. The oversized print took two people to pull the squeegee across. The resulted print was framed in a custom 3/4” thick matte and painted pine frame.

A project we worked on with Ogivly & Mather Chicago for Morton Salt's 'Next Door Chef' series. We created a number of custom collateral pieces as design elements for the event and as take home gifts.
The events were held in Chicago, and two other US cities that have not yet been released. You can check out the released content at Morton.com or on Cara's Portfolio.

This custom mid-century inspired entertainment cabinet resulted in a unique multi-material build. The main case is solid pine, the doors are zebrawood and the speaker grill fabric is made from period radio speaker covering. The center console holds a receiver on the bottom and a turntable above it. Vinyl records are vertically stored next to the stereo components. Speakers are held behind the grills and can be accessed by removing the front grills held on by magnets.
HAND-MADE PAPER & PRINTING
A personal project, but one very close to our hearts. We designed, hand made the paper, and screen printed each of our wedding invitations. It is probably my (Cara's) favorite project on our site, being a small piece of the larger celebration of our wedding. There is a video coming some day, hopefully before our first anniversary!
